Miami, Florida, September 30, 2014 – Green Living Technologies International LLC (GLTi) on behalf of Greensleeves is proud to announce it has been awarded a PLANET Design-Build Merit Award for the Interior & Exterior Landscape of La Mar by Gastón Acurio at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, including a patented Green Living Wall, containing 984 plants in the Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program sponsored by PLANET.

La Mar by Gastón Acurio, located in the triple Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Miami , offers some of the best Peruvian food in Miami and the dedicated Cebiche and Anticucho bars invite guests to journey through La Mar’s celebrated menu. “Our La Mar by Gastón Acurio restaurant pays tribute to the sea with a beautiful waterfront location and the freshest local seafood on the menu,” said Alexandra Wensley, Mandarin Oriental, Miami’s Director of Communications. “We are thrilled Greensleeves received this Distinguished Award for their extraordinary work in our new restaurant.”
Debra Smeltzer, President of Greensleeves, states the La Mar landscape design was intensive due to the time frame. We were given the go ahead just a few months prior to opening so had to design, procure and pre-plant FAST. Proven horticultural techniques were utilized while embracing the latest in technology. The patented Green Living Wall has a state of the art fertigation system and incorporates the latest in broad spectrum LED grow lights. Historically the GLTi products are versatile, due to its ability to be applied with growing media or used hydroponically. The products durability, ease of installation and manufactured in the USA. This is the first PLANET award for a GLTi green wall system, and their 25th overall.
